TIRRA+™ Assessment
A structured, trauma‑informed evaluation of your school’s safety systems — including a full physical‑security walk‑through.
Built to help leaders understand what’s working, what’s missing, and where predictable systems can strengthen daily safety for both students and staff.

What the Assessment Process Does
The TIRRA+™ Assessment Process gives schools a clear, trauma‑informed evaluation of their current safety systems. It examines communication loops, adult practices, student experiences, daily routines, and physical‑security conditions through a predictable, developmentally aligned lens. This includes a complete walk‑through of your campus — from exterior to interior — along with a review of programs, policies, and staff training. Schools receive a clear picture of their strengths, gaps, and alignment opportunities — across both human systems and the physical environment.
The Certified Framework Behind the Assessment
TIRRA+™ Certified Dual‑Risk School Safety Evaluation and Validation Framework
The TIRRA+™ Assessment Process is conducted using the TIRRA+™ Certified Dual‑Risk School Safety Evaluation and Validation Framework, a proprietary, trauma‑informed evaluation system that integrates physical‑security review, adult‑practice fidelity, student experience, climate mapping, compliance crosswalks, and scenario‑based validation into one unified methodology. This certified framework is used exclusively by trained TIRRA+™ assessors to ensure accuracy, consistency, and leadership‑ready clarity across all findings.
A Clear, Predictable Three-Phase Process
Phase 1 — Review
We begin by reviewing your existing safety documents, communication structures, routines, physical‑security plans, emergency procedures, and staff training programs. This includes examining how expectations are communicated to both adults and students, and how systems are designed to support predictable, emotionally safe experiences.
Phase 2 — Observe
Next, we conduct a full walk‑through of your campus — from exterior grounds and access points to interior hallways, classrooms, and common areas. We observe daily operations through both a trauma‑informed and physical‑security lens, looking at how adults respond, how students navigate the school day, how routines unfold, and how the physical environment supports or disrupts predictability, supervision, and emotional safety.
Phase 3 — Recommend
Finally, we provide clear, actionable recommendations aligned with the TIRRA+™ Framework. Schools receive a predictable roadmap for strengthening trust, improving physical‑security conditions, aligning adult practices, and supporting student regulation and safety across daily operations.
What the Assessment Examines
1. Communication Loops
How information moves between leadership, staff, and students — and whether those loops support predictable, emotionally safe responses during both daily operations and higher‑stress moments.
2. Adult & Student Practices
How adults respond to student behavior, stress, and crisis situations — and how students respond to expectations, routines, and safety cues. This includes whether adult and student practices are aligned, consistent, developmentally appropriate, and supported by clear, predictable systems.
3. Daily Routines
The predictability, clarity, and emotional safety of classroom, hallway, arrival, dismissal, and transition routines — and how both adults and students participate in those routines. We examine how routines interact with physical‑security measures such as access control, supervision, and visibility.
4. Physical Security Conditions
A complete, structured walk‑through of your school’s physical environment — from exterior grounds and parking lots to interior hallways, classrooms, and common areas. This includes access control, visibility, traffic flow, supervision patterns, environmental cues, emergency procedures, and whether physical‑security measures reinforce predictable, emotionally safe experiences for both students and staff.
Why Trauma-Informed Assessments Matter
Predictable systems reduce intensity, support regulation, and help students and staff feel emotionally grounded. When physical‑security measures, adult practices, student practices, and daily routines work together, schools experience fewer escalations, clearer expectations, and safer daily operations. The TIRRA+™ Assessment Process shows leaders where predictability is strong, where it breaks down, and how aligned systems can improve daily safety.
Your Roadmap to the TIRRA+™ Framework
The Assessment Process is the first step in adopting the TIRRA+™ Framework. It gives leaders the clarity they need to implement predictable adult practices, developmentally aligned student routines, emotionally safe crisis‑response tools, and physical‑security measures that support — not contradict — trauma‑informed safety.
