About the event
This community conversation is designed to bring parents, students, and educators together in a calm, open space to talk about what school safety really feels like. Instead of presentations or heavy content, this event focuses on simple, steady discussion — giving everyone a chance to share their experiences, concerns, and hopes without feeling overwhelmed.
School safety is often talked about in terms of locks, cameras, and procedures. Those things matter, but they’re only part of the picture. Real safety is also relational — built through trust, predictable adult practice, and shared understanding between home and school. This event helps our community explore that fuller definition of safety in a way that feels accessible and supportive.
Participants will reflect on what helps them feel safe, what makes safety feel uncertain, and what our schools need next. Together, we’ll build a shared language for talking about safety and identify the priorities that matter…
