Training Overview

This session introduces a trauma-informed approach to school safety, integrating strategic risk mitigation with an understanding of how trauma impacts behavior, decision-making, and crisis response. Participants will learn how to recognize personal triggers, respond to escalation cycles, and apply de-escalation techniques that preserve dignity and reduce harm.
 

Led by a Certified School Safety Professional (CSSP), NFPA 3000(PS), CRASE Instructor, and retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer, this training blends real-world security expertise with trauma-responsive practices tailored for school environments.
